00042: Raster catalog displays with Display as wireframe when <n> rasters are within the display extent option

  • Solutions
  • More information

Raster catalogs with the Display as wireframe when <n> rasters are within the display extent option are not compatible with basemap layers.

Solutions

  • To resolve this error, change the option from Display as wireframe when <n> rasters are within the display extent to Never display wireframe.
  • Alternatively, change the option to Display as wireframe when the scale is less than and specify the desired scale at which you want the wireframe to display.

More information

Wireframe drawing is used to minimize the number of rasters that must be drawn from the catalog when many appear on the map. The wireframe provides a fast-drawing overview of the raster footprints in the extent. For more information about techniques for raster drawing performance, see Improving the display of raster data.
