Very commonly, temporal data is stored in columns or fields in your attribute or stand-alone tables. For instance, census data has time represented in columns. You can reformat a table that has time in separate columns for visualizing changes in the data over time.
Reformatting a table that has time in separate columns
Often you'll have time represented in columns in your attribute table, for instance, medical costs per county for 1990, 1991, 1992, and so on.
To visualize this data through time, the table must be reformatted. The Transpose Fields tool can be used to reformat the fields into a row format.
