An overview of the FAA toolset

The FAA toolset contains tools that allow you to export FAA 18B geodatabase features to an FAA 18B-compliant shapefile as well as import shapefiles into a geodatabase with the FAA 18B schema.

Export Airports To FAA 18B Shapefile

Exports feature classes from an Airports geodatabase to the FAA 18B shapefile format. Output shapefile attribute names conform to the requirements specified in Advisory Circular 150/5300-18B. Use this tool to create safety critical data for submission to the FAA Airport Surveying - Geographic Information System (GIS) Program.

Import FAA18B Shapefile To Airports

Imports one or more FAA 18B-compliant shapefiles into a geodatabase that contains the ArcGIS Aviation Airports schema. Once the shapefiles are imported, you can validate the features against the requirements in Advisory Circular 150/5300-18B.
