Summary
Finds junctions not connected to edges for a simple junction feature layer. Finds edges not connected to any other edges for simple and complex edge feature layers.
Usage
The input Layer Name must be a layer that references a geometric network feature class.
This tool accepts layers with selections as input and will only search for disconnected features that are selected.
Disconnected features will be selected in the output feature layer.
Syntax
arcpy.management.FindDisconnectedFeaturesInGeometricNetwork(in_layer, out_layer)
Parameter | Explanation | Data Type |
in_layer | The feature layer in which to search for disconnected features. | Feature Layer |
out_layer | The output feature layer. | Feature Layer |
Code sample
The following stand-alone Python script demonstrates how to use the FindDisconnectedFeaturesinGeometricNetwork in Python script to find disconnected features within a geometric network.
# Import arcpy module
import arcpy
# Local variables:
Tanks = "C:\\testing\\GeometricNetworks\\Montgomery.gdb\\Water\\Tanks"
# Process: Find disconnected features
arcpy.FindDisconnectedFeaturesInGeometricNetwork_management(Tanks, "Tanks_Disconnected")
Environments
This tool does not use any geoprocessing environments.
