XYEventSourceNameClass Class

A name object that defines the objects needed to create an XY event layer.

Product Availability

Available with ArcGIS Engine, ArcGIS Desktop, and ArcGIS Server.

Extended Error Information

Use the ISupportErrorInfo method InterfaceSupportsErrorInfo to determine if the object supports extended error information. If the object supports extended error info, VC++ developers should use the OLE/COM IErrorInfo interface to access the ErrorInfo object. Visual Basic developers should use the global error object Err to retrieve this extended error information.

IDatasetName Provides access to members that supply dataset name information.
IFeatureClassName Provides access to members that return information about the feature class.
IName (esriSystem) Provides access to members that work with Name objects.
IPersistStream (esriSystem)
ISupportErrorInfo (esriSystem)
IXYEventSourceName Provides access to the XY event source name properties.


The XYEventSourceName class is used to persist and create new XYEventSource objects. You must use an XYEventSourceName to create an XYEventSource. The IXYEventSourceName interface defines the properties that must be set.
