What's new in editing for Esri Production Mapping

In Esri Production Mapping 10.4.1, several changes have been made to enhance the editing experience.

Geoprocessing

The Create Replica tool has the following changes applied in this release:

• The option to register with existing data when creating a replica is now available for users with large datasets or those that have identical data in two different geodatabases.
• The ability to use the ONE_WAY_CHILD_TO_PARENT_REPLICA parameter option.
• A new filtering option called HAVE_THEIR_CENTER_IN (centroid) as a spatial operator.

The Delete Dangles tool now allows you to enter a maximum angle.

Any line below the minimum length that is within the defined angle of a consecutive line segment will be kept.

Other enhancements

You can now specify the simplification and smoothing algorithms that are used. For the simplification algorithm, you can use either the bend simplify or the point remove method. For the smoothing algorithm, you can choose wither the Polynominal Approximation with Exponential Kernel (PAEK) or the Bezier interpolation method.
