Writing the current position to a log

You might prefer to selectively write GPS positions to a log file rather than streaming them.

  1. Click the Stamp Current Position To Log button Stamp Current Position To Log on the ArcMap GPS toolbar.
  2. If the button is unavailable, you may not have defined a log, or there might not be an open connection. Make sure you have an open connection (see Connecting to a GPS device) and either open an existing log or create a new log.
