You might prefer to selectively write GPS positions to a log file rather than streaming them.
- Click the Stamp Current Position To Log button
on the ArcMap GPS toolbar.
If the button is unavailable, you may not have defined a log, or there might not be an open connection. Make sure you have an open connection (see Connecting to a GPS device) and either open an existing log or create a new log.
