Creating a map with ArcGIS Online data

  1. Click the File menu, point to Add Data, then click Add Data from ArcGIS Online.
  2. Search ArcGIS Online for data and add it to ArcMap.
  3. Click the Publish Map button Publish Map button on the Publisher toolbar and enter the output location.
  4. The published map can be sent to and used by anyone who has ArcReader. Keep in mind that you may also need to send the data if it is does not have an Internet source.

Tip:
  1. The Publisher toolbar must be enabled in the Extension Manager before you can use it. You also need a Publisher license before you can use the extension.
  2. Published maps can be placed on ArcGIS Online and opened by any ArcReader user. For more information on sharing maps on the Internet, visit ArcGIS Online.
