How to zoom in ArcGlobe using the camera target

Available with 3D Analyst license.

Follow the steps below to quickly zoom into a particular 3D location inside ArcGlobe. Setting the camera's target position can help you simplify navigation by bringing the area of interest into the center of the view as you zoom towards it.

  1. Click the Zoom To Target tool Zoom to Target on the Tools toolbar in ArcGlobe.
  2. Click the location on the globe that you would like to zoom to.
  3. The point you click becomes the center of your view as you zoom toward it.

Tip:
You can continue to zoom to a new target location when using the new 3D Navigate tool Navigate by pressing CTRL + right-click or double right-clicking the pointer in the 3D view.
