Saving grids

Available with Production Mapping license.

You can save grids created in Grids and Graticules Designer as XML files in a specified location.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. Click the Grids and Graticules Designer window button Grids and Graticules Designer window on the Production Cartography toolbar.
  3. Create the grid and all the necessary components.
  4. Click the grid to save in the tree view.
  5. Click the Save button Save.

    The Save As dialog box appears.

  6. Browse to a file location and type a name for the grid.
  7. Type a name for the grid XML file in the File name text box.
  8. Click Save.

The Grids and Graticules Designer saves the new grid as an XML file in the specified location.
