An overview of the To Geodatabase toolset

The geodatabase toolset contains tools to convert and write data to a geodatabase.

Tool	Description
CAD to Geodatabase	Reads a CAD dataset and creates feature classes of the drawing. The feature classes are written to a geodatabase feature dataset.
Feature Class to Feature Class	Converts a shapefile, coverage feature class, or geodatabase feature class to a shapefile or geodatabase feature class.
Feature Class to Geodatabase	Converts one or more feature classes or feature layers to geodatabase feature classes.
Import CAD Annotation	Converts a collection of CAD annotation features to geodatabase annotation. You can convert each level to individual annotation classes or merge them into a single class. Also, if you choose map layers as input, the level and font overrides will be honored.
Import Coverage Annotation	Converts a collection of coverage annotation features to geodatabase annotation. You can convert each level to individual annotation classes or merge them into a single class. Also, if you choose map layers as input, the level and font overrides will be honored.
Raster to Geodatabase	Loads multiple raster datasets into a geodatabase or raster catalog.
Table to Geodatabase	Converts one or more tables to geodatabase tables in an output geodatabase. The inputs can be dBASE, INFO, VPF, OLE DB tables, geodatabase tables, or table views.
Table to Table	Exports the rows of a table, table view, feature layer, feature class, or raster with attribute table to a new geodatabase, .csv, .txt, or .dbf table.

The following tools that were available in the geoprocessing To Geodatabase toolset prior to version 10 have been removed since they are no longer applicable.
