The Getting started section provides installation and startup information that will help you get ArcGIS License Manager running. It also describes the process to set up the client machines to use the License Manager.
Prior to installation, please review the ArcGIS License Manager system requirements and note that administrative privileges are required for installing ArcGIS License Manager. It is recommended that users always refer to the latest on-line ArcGIS License Manager system requirements for up-to-date information, as system requirements are subject to change at any time.
The License Manager reference guide is also installed with ArcGIS License Manager. This can be accessed from Start > Programs > ArcGIS > License Manager > License Manager Reference Guide.

Administering the License Manager
This section provides information that will assist you in using ArcGIS License Manager and managing your licenses. This section provides information on configuring license borrowing and viewing license availability.
ArcGIS License Manager for Portal for ArcGIS
In this section, instructions can be found for authorizing and configuring ArcGIS License Manager for use with named user ArcGIS Pro and Premium Apps via an on-premises Portal for ArcGIS instance. Useful Information and helpful hints can be found in the Useful Information and Best Practices topic.

Obtaining software authorization numbers
If needed, your account's primary maintenance contact can obtain authorization numbers from My Esri. After signing in with your Esri Account, click My Organizations > Licensing > View Authorizations. Click a product name to obtain its authorization number.
The license version on authorizations eligible for use with ArcGIS 10.8 will display as 10.1–10.8 under View Authorizations. For those outside the United States, contact your local distributor for information about your authorization numbers.
