Introduction to installing ArcGIS Workflow Manager (Classic) Desktop

To install ArcGIS Workflow Manager (Classic) Desktop, you must be an administrator or have elevated privileges.

This installation guide will provide steps required to set up your Workflow Manager (Classic) system. This installation package contains ArcGIS Workflow Manager for Desktop and Task Assistant Manager. The installation wizard will verify that Workflow Manager is properly installed.

After installing ArcGIS Workflow Manager (Classic) Desktop

Once you have installed ArcGIS Workflow Manager (Classic) Desktop, there are a few things you will need to do to get your system up and running.

  1. Authorize ArcGIS Workflow Manager (Classic) Desktop or ensure you have the Workflow Manager (Classic) feature available.
  2. Prepare an ArcSDE geodatabase to be the container of the Workflow Manager (Classic) system tables.
  3. Run the Create Workflow Database geoprocessing tool.
  4. Start using ArcGIS Workflow Manager (Classic).

Note:

Do not install ArcGIS Workflow Manager (Classic) Desktop and ArcGIS Workflow Manager (Classic) Server in the same folder.
