Mosaic Dataset Analyzer: Warning 71146

Available with Standard or Advanced license.

Warning

The mosaic dataset item that is pan-sharpened by the Gram-Schmidt method has missing, invalid, or inaccurate band covariance values.

Description

The band covariance coefficients are needed if you are trying to use the Gram-Schmidt pan-sharpening method with the most accurate results.

The band covariance coefficients are computed when you calculate statistics on your data. The band covariance coefficients are either inaccurate or are missing.

Your covariance coefficients can be missing if you either have not calculated statistics at all, or if you have calculated statistics on a previous version of ArcGIS, which did not compute the covariance.

Your covariance coefficients can be inaccurate if a skip factor greater than or equal to two has been used when the statistics were calculated, or if there has been a change in the band order.

Solution

Use the Build Pyramids and Statistics tool with the following parameters:

  • Build Pyramids unchecked
  • Calculate Statistics checked
  • Skip Existing unchecked
  • Include Source Datasets checked
