Software requirements
Description | |
---|---|
Python requirement | ArcGIS requires Python 2.7.18 and Numerical Python (NumPy) 1.16.6 to be installed. If the ArcGIS setup does not find either Python 2.7.18 or Numerical Python (NumPy) 1.16.6 installed on the target computer, Python 2.7.18 and Numerical Python 1.16.6 will be installed during a complete installation. You can choose a Custom installation to unselect the Python feature and avoid installing it. Additionally, if the Python setup is executed during the ArcGIS installation, you will be provided with the opportunity to choose its installation location. The Pythoninstallation location should not include spaces. |
Microsoft .NET Framework | Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 or later must be installed for solutions developed using the Microsoft .NET Framework. |
Java | Java Development Kit (JDK) version 8 Update 302 or later versions of JDK 8 is supported when building SOEs and SOIs. Building SOEs or SOIs with Java 9 or higher is not supported. |
Software required to connect to a DBMS
Your client machine (for example, the one running ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Server) must have the appropriate database client files installed for the RDBMS you are using. These client files are available from their respective RDBMS vendors. See Database clients for more information.
SDK requirements
Software version requirements
Side by side installation of ArcGIS Desktop, ArcReader, and ArcGIS Engine clients on the same machine with ArcGIS Server will differ depending on the version of ArcGIS Server being used:
- ArcGIS Server 10.9 or 11.0 cannot be installed on the same machine as any version of ArcGIS Desktop, ArcReader, and ArcGIS Engine clients.
- ArcGIS Server 10.9.1 can be installed on the same machine as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcReader, and ArcGIS Engine 10.8.2 clients only.
